NAMIBIA - A Spectacular Journey

Our small-group Namibia tour will take you through many of the highlights and spectacles of this fascinating country. Namibia has many of our planet's wonders - the highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei; Hoba the largest intact meteorite, Fish River the second largest canyon, The Namib the oldest desert, the largest aloe, the 22,000 square kilometre Etosha National Park teeming with wildlife, and there's more...

We will show you the deserted diamond mining town of Kolmanskop, 6,000-year-old San bushman rock art, welwitschia mirabalis, moon landscapes and Southern African wildlife like you see on television.

If you are into photography then make sure you have plenty of memory cards. We will treat you to some of Namibia's five star accommodation and take you around the country in comfort.

2012 will be another milestone for Mirrabac as it will mark our 36th safari to Namibia and our sixteenth year sharing the wonderful highlights this country has on offer with travellers just like you.

Of course there's nothing like being there!

Life's an Adventure...or nothing!

We were so impressed with the people, overawed by the stunning landscape and besotted with the vast array of African wildlife, so much so that in 2004 we published a pictorial book of Rob's Namibian images with words by his wife and writer Maureen McDonald. This publication became a best seller with over 8,000 cpies sold to date. It is now published in four languages - English, German, French and Italian, for the enjoyment of travellers to this spectaular country.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Etosha National Park covers an area of 22,000 square kilometres. The abundance and variety of African wildlife make 'spotting' easy during the dry winter months. Thousands of animals inhabit the park including lion, giraffe, elephant, zebra, kudu, oryx, impala, springbok, blue wildebeest, black rhino, hyena, Damara dik dik (the smallest Southern African antelope) and eland (the largest Southern African antelope) to name just a few. Chances are we will see most of them.
